Welcome to the La Plata County Search and Rescue website. La Plata County Search and Rescue is a 100% volunteer organization. We are funded solely by donations and grant funds; we do not receive any funding from taxes. We are currently raising funds to purchase a "mission-ready" facility in which to house our equipment and hold meetings and trainings in order to better serve our community during a variety of emergencies and missions. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated and can be made via our paypal account (click on the donations tab to the left) or mailed to us at P.O. Box 1885, Durango, CO 81302. Please indicate if you would like your donation to go into our general fund, which is used for equipment purchases and training or to our capital fundraising account, which will be used towards the purchase of a mission ready facility. La Plata County Search and Rescue is a registered non-profit corporation, therefore your donation is tax deductible.
